About
The Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) is located in western Kentucky, approximately 15 miles west of the City of Paducah. The site is owned by the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE). The DOE conducts and oversees the environmental remediation activities at the PGDP. In addition to environmental remediation, DOE's mission at PGDP also includes waste management, depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) conversion and decontamination and decommissioning activities.
The Paducah DOE Environmental Information Center (EIC) was opened in 1993 to provide residents of Western Kentucky and the surrounding area a convenient way to participate in environmental restoration program decisions and to learn more about the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) environmental work at the PGDP. The EIC is managed by Swift & Staley Inc. and is located in Paducah, Kentucky (See the "Visit Us" tab for complete information).
The EIC provides access to the electronic files in the Administrative Record (AR), Post Decision (PD), and General Reference Compendium (GRC). The EIC also stores the hard copy of selected documents that are not available on this website.
